Mystery solved - Anden is Santa!

Anden’s Christmas school program was today.  He was FANTASTIC! He played the starring role, Santa Clause!  What a cutie.  He had makeup induced rosy cheeks, said “Ho Ho Ho”, at just the right moments.  I’m so proud of my little man.  Way to Go Anden!  You’re such a bright star!

Today was also Family movie night.  Every Thursday we have a family movie night that consists of (a wholesome, or sometimes a not so wholesome (Pizza) dinner) all you can eat popcorn, “special dessert treats” and a family friendly movie.  What a wonderful day.

Also, update on Logan

Birth weight: 7 lbs, 10 oz.  Upon release from the hospital (2 days later) 7 lbs, 8 oz.  Two week appointment found him to be 8 lbs, 2 oz.  Good growing Logan! Keep it up sweetheart.

Once again, we’re just SO proud of Anden!  I couldn’t ask for a more outgoing, caring, sweet, beautiful, wonderful Son!  I sure love my big 4 Year old man!  He stole the show.  He always does.

Anden’s letter to Santa 2008

Dear Santa,

I want a football and not a b-b gun (it’ll shoot your eye out and make you break your glasses), and a truck that makes music. I want a hummer car. I want NOT something that shoots. I want a big huge flat thing that you slide under the door, so you can close it a lot easier and it won’t make noise. Happy Merry Christmas!

I’m going to be Santa for a Christmas Program, Santa. And we picked a Mrs. Clause. Anden is um, Santa!

I want for my brother, more toys, LOTS of other toys, and they’ll be lying all over the place Santa! (Insert maniacal laughter here)
And we’ll make you Christmas cookies and milk and put them on the table for you, Santa, they’ll be laying on the table.

And that’s all I want to say. Nothing else.

Love,
Anden

Logan’s one month well visit and creepy Eskimo heads

Logan had his “1 month” check up today.  10lbs, 3 oz 22 inches long.  He’s sick and was prescribed Albuterol, though, we don’t think it’ll help much as it’s a virus (he had an in-office treatment, and it didn’t help the wheezing he’s been experiencing).  Both Anden and I came down with this same cold.  Luckily Dad avoided it.  We’re to keep an eye on this cold, poor baby L.  Anden did great today – got 5 positive check marks and a star!  Good job Anden! He also made n paper Eskimo head at school.  He decided while at home to give the Eskimo a hair cut, and cut the guys hood off.  He’s taken to hanging all of his artwork that he does at school on the wall next to his kitchen set with scotch tape.  It’s really quite cute.  Has a lot of Christmas items hanging up there.  But now there’s this creepy non-hooded Eskimo head hanging on our wall (he likes to cut things out ‘on the line’).  Too  funny!

Just WHEN to say ‘Excuse me’

Anden asked if he has to cover his bottom with his hand when he passes gas, because he has to cover his mouth when he burps.  And he has to say “excuse me” to both things!

Three year old-isms

9/2007
(Anden at 3 years)

Funny Anden sayings:

Instead of “I” when you need help with something, it’s “We need help!”

Mom went into the video store to exchange a movie, you asked Dad to get you out of the car seat so you could go in, numerous times. When Dad refused over and over – you said in a whispered voice “God, please let me out of car seat.” Funny boy! I was out less than a minute later. Dad said that God always answers prayers, and sometimes, He says ‘no’.

At the end of the ‘ABC’s’ instead of saying “now I know my ABC’s next time won’t you sing with me” you say “now I know my letters now you” That’s it J

At an early age of three you say “thank you for taking me to the park Dada, or Mama”

You end a lot of sentences with “that a lot of fun”

When we go to the park, you announce yourself to many children like this: “It’s me, Anden. I’m an animal rescue.” You take this from ‘Go Diego Go’ (which features a boy who rescues animals), a cartoon you like, and something you’ve taken to becoming. You son, are now an animal rescuer. When asked what an animal rescuer does, you say that you take the animals home, and love them <3

After Church one Sunday, we picked you up and were told that you kiddo’s were learning a phrase. This week it was “I can do all things through Christ”. The care provider said that she spent a little time with each child so that they would remember the verse. We asked you how long the care provider had spent with you helping you remember the verse. Your response: “22 years.” Boy! I hope you’ve gotten it down by now!

You like to refer to Grandpa and Grandma Bond as “Cortez Travel Service” You also inform us that they live in a “BIG house.”

MONTHS after I mentioned that Grandpa Parkison worked at Lowe’s, you found an itty bitty bear that had a Lowe’s t-shirt on, and said “Grandpa works there!” You’re so Smart! You pick up every single thing! He also lives in a “BIG house!”

You’re the most wonderful thing this world has ever produced. THAT Son, is a fact.

You tell Mom and Dad that you “love you with all my heart.” All the time. That just melts us into little puddles. You’re such a sweet, thoughtful boy.

You tell both Mom and Dad that “You’re so cute!”
